At Dreamforce 2026 Salesforce unveiled AIforce, a new AI interface layer, and Headless 360, which lets users reach Salesforce software without its traditional screens and menus. Salesforce describes the pair as part of an 'Enterprise AI Harness' that combines data, business knowledge, workflows and controls so AI agents can understand and act on business processes.
The 'headless' idea is the striking part: instead of a person clicking through an application, an agent calls the same capabilities directly, and the interface becomes optional.
What it means: software is starting to be built so an agent, not only a human, is the primary user. For a small business, that points to a future where routine work inside a tool is handled by an assistant that operates the tool for you rather than instructing you how to click.
