Ars Technica reports that PC shipments fell 20.1 percent to 62.7 million units in the third quarter, according to IDC, the sharpest decline since the first quarter of 2023.
Omdia put the drop at 21.2 percent, to 58.1 million units. The article quotes a warning that the current decline may be just the beginning of a new downward cycle.
