French company Mistral has released a freely available model that it claims can compete with the best from the US and China, Ars Technica reports. The 1 trillion-parameter Mistral Large 4, nicknamed Le Chonk, can be used and customised by anyone.
It is available in preview, with a final version due by the end of the month.
