From Pilot to Standard Tooling
Survey data circulating this month puts AI-agent adoption among enterprise channel partners above 50% for the first time, with a similar share reporting they have built at least one internal, proprietary LLM-based tool rather than relying solely on vendor products.
The workflows seeing the earliest, clearest returns are the least glamorous: invoice processing, data entry, and customer-request triage — repetitive, well-bounded tasks where an agent's failure mode is easy to catch and correct.
What Is Still Manual
The same data shows adoption drops sharply for workflows involving irreversible actions — financial transfers, contract commitments, customer-facing communication without review — where organizations are keeping a human in the loop even after automating the surrounding steps.
Why This Matters Beyond the Survey
The pattern — automate the reversible, keep humans on the irreversible — is a reasonable template for any organization sequencing its own agent rollout, not just the enterprises surveyed.
